Good Morning Oct 22, 2021

Good morning!  Not much cloud for the sunrise today, but I still enjoy watching and hearing the world wake up. First the mockingbirds’ song and the hum of hummingbirds wings. Then the calls of lesser goldfinches. Next the chatter of house sparrows and the chirps of house finches. Overhead the occasional clack from a grackle or a shrill call from a distant treetop. The pigeons start stretching their wings once the sun is up. Definitely not my favorite bird but they are ever present here. I just heard the soft wispy calls of a warbler and the sweet song of a white crowned sparrow. Soon I’ll hear the clicks and calls of the red-wing blackbirds. A few of them were here all day yesterday and nearly cleared out the feeders. Meanwhile the coffee is hot, and warming and the sky is mostly clear and a cool 54f degrees here on my patio. Time to fill the birdbaths.
Happy Friday! - Michele

The setting moon this morning and so many stripes in the sky.

An last, but never least, A very happy 44th birthday
to our firstborn son David today.
44 years ago today a delightful, free-spirited red headed little boy came into our lives and made me a mom for the first time. There is nothing quite the same as a first born child, and David was and is indeed special. Thank you David for bringing so much joy into our lives and thank you for growing up to be such a wonderful man and fantastic friend.
Happy Birthday my son!!
Love you to the moon and back, - Mom
